"Man's Best Friend"
 
   

We often call them as "man's best friend'. Dog's are a group of carnivorous mammals also known as canines. Dogs ae related to the wolves and the dingos, but unlike their untamed cousins dogs are domesticated animals that was drawn away from their wild cousins. Some researchers say that humans started domesticating dogs as far back as 15,000 to 100,000 years ago. Other say that they were domesticated for a shorter amount of time.

In today society dogs play different roles depending on what they were trained for. Some dogs are trained to work in a farm helping owners more herds of catttle or sheep. Others are trained to be police dogs while others are trained for search and rescue operations. Some owners train their dogs for sports competition which showcases the talents and abilities of their dogs. Still othes, just want to have dogs as companions.

Due to the unconditional loyalty that the dog displays, most owners consider them as a member of the family. Dogs are also highly socialized animals,which may explain the closeness they show their owners. The same way that we see dogs as member of our family, it's the same case for dogs. For dogs who have a close relationship with its owSner, they consider their owner as a member of their pack.

Dogs are also praised for their intelligence. Their intelligence is evident in the way that dogs can be trained to do tricks and some complex tasks. Search and rescue dogs are a good example of how smart dogs can be. Search and rescue dogs ar etrained to sniff out and give some sort of sign that it has found the presence of a person. Even the dogs who are used to guide blind people usually called seeing eye dogs are trained to recognize and avoid dangers.

The way that ou take care of your dogs is important in keeping a good relationship with them. If you see that your dog is not feeling well or is acting strngely you can have it checked at the veterinarian or you can even look-up the internet for some symptoms that point the condition of your dog.
